Ticket Price: Free

Description

For the first-time in its history, the Canadian Institute of Forestry / Institut forestier du Canada (CIF-IFC) will be hosting its National Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) in a completely virtual format.

Due to overwhelming interest and support, a third conference day has been added to the Virtual 2020 CIF-IFC National Conference and 112th AGM itinerary! The Conference will take place online from September 15-17, 2020.

The Conference theme, “Diversity and Innovation - Cultivating Resilience in Forestry,” will focus on a range of topics including, but not limited to: climate change, Indigenous perspectives, emerging and innovative technologies in forestry, and the forest sector’s role in Canada’s transition to a low carbon economy – offered through a great line-up of speakers, concurrent and plenary sessions. The Conference will also offer numerous social events and networking opportunities for potential sponsors/exhibitors to engage with forest professionals and practitioners located from coast to coast!

Established in 1908, the CIF-IFC is the oldest forest society in Canada, spanning 19 regional Sections across Canada from Newfoundland and Labrador to Vancouver Island and up to the Klondike. The Institute serves as the voice of forest practitioners, providing national leadership in forestry; promoting competency among forestry professionals, and fostering public awareness of forestry issues.
